Bunyip North Energy Storage Project

A new energy storage project in Australia

RES is proposing to develop a battery energy storage system (BESS) facility near Bunyip North, north of the Princes Freeway, approximately 3km from Bunyip, in the Cardinia Shire.

The BESS will have a storage capacity of up to 400MW / 2400MWh (400MW for 6 hours), which could supply electricity to over 250,000 households at times of peak demand.

The Project is designed to support the sustainable transition of Victoria's energy network, enabling greater integration of renewable energy and reducing reliance on fossil fuels to maintain grid reliability.
